Chess Shoots is one of premium chess coaching academy and it is in existence since 2011. We offer various chess learning programs and all of these with details could be found on our web page at this link.

Q. Where does Chess Shoots conducts chess classes?
We conduct classes online and at our various physical centers. The details of our physical centers can be found at this link

Q. Who are the coaches at Chess Shoots?
Coaches at Chess Shoots are FIDE rated active players. While they practice aptly and keep working towards their rankings/ratings, they are also passionate in teaching young minds and contribute to the upcoming of chess as a sport.

Q. What age groups do you cater to?
We in-take students with an age of 5 years and above.

Q. Do you provide students with chess boards/pieces and other learning equipments?
At our physical centers, we do provide and teach students on the chess board(s) directly. However, the online coaching happens on appropriate chess softwares.

Q. What levels of chess expertise do you accommodate?
At Chess Shoots, we have 3 levels of coaching - Basic, Intermediate and Advanced levels of coaching. Students can join Chess Shoots with any amount of chess knowledge acquired from anywhere. We shall always perform an assessment of their chess knowledge and induct them into a suitable batch.

Q. What is the duration and frequency of the coaching sessions?
While this varies at different levels of chess learning, a typical basic level student is subjected to 2 hours of coaching per week or 8 hours per month.

Q. Are group and individual coaching sessions available?
Yes we do have group and individual sessions for our students. However, the need for an individual session for a student is taken by the coach based on the needs.

Q. Is there a trial or assessment session available?
We do not offer trial classes for students. However, as mentioned earlier, we do assessment of students who come with prior chess knowledge.

Q. What modes of payment does Chess Shoots accept for enrolment?
We accept payments only via bank transfers, UPI, cheques and any other digital means.

Q. Do you organise chess tournaments or events?
Yes, Chess Shoots organises tournaments, both online and offline. Please speak to one of our center coordinators for more details. Or please stay tuned to our announcements on social media channels for updates.
Q. Can I switch between coaching levels if needed?
This is a decision a student will not be able to make. Our coaches on a continuous basis will be assessing the students to move them between levels when the time is right.

Q. Is there a code of conduct or behaviour policy for students?
Yes, Chess Shoots is very strict about the code of conduct from student as well as parents while in the class or when they are visiting our coaching centers or while making a request with the coaches or while interacting with Chess Shoots. Some of the points, not fully though, to mentions here under this topic are as follows:

All the students are expected to have their own notebook and pen/pencil and other required stationery items while attending the class.

It is highly advisable for parents or guardians to pick and drop the students on time to/from the class. Please ensure to be at the premise exactly 5 min before the start of the class – not more not less. Also pick your child at the right time so as to prevent the coach from waiting for the parents to arrive.

If the coach is not happy with the student’s progress or behaviour, the coach & Chess Shoots reserves the right to remove the student from the batch.

Parents who aspire for individual attention to their kids to fast track their learning curve or to improve upon certain playing techniques or for any other reasons, we advise to schedule 1-on-1 sessions with the coach at extra cost. Usually ChessShoots discourages individual classes as the group classes are designed appropriately to take care of the learning needs of the kids at their assigned levels.

Chess Shoots was formed with a vision to uphold & enhance the chess culture in the state and country. We have in the past and we will in future provide assistance to enthusiasts who can share this vision in a true sense. However, such decisions at Chess Shoots is taken purely based on a 'NEED' basis after careful examination of the situation. Chess Shoots reserves full rights on decision making in this matter.
